G.A.S. is excited to premiere the “G.A.S. Project Room”.

 

Artists are invited to submit works and/or portfolios for review for exhibition consideration in our G.A.S. Project Room for one- person shows.  The 200 sq. foot square format space is situated within, but separate from the larger G.A.S. galleries. The Project Room is well lighted, intimate and perfectly suited for small to medium size works that can include paintings, photographs, sculpture, prints, mixed media, artists books, computer and functional art, film, video or installation.  The gallery has four smooth white walls and a long counter and shelving on one wall that is perfect for small 3D works.  Various size pedestals are also available.  The month long shows are scheduled to concur with G.A.S. openings and exhibitions.  Press releases are combined with G.A.S. publicity with insurance and gallery sitting also provided by G.A.S.. The exhibiting Project Room artist can produce their own separate press release and can be distributed by G.A.S. if requested by the artist. Invitations and advertising are the responsibility of the artist.  Occasional receptions are accompanied by musical or video presentations.

If selected for a show, there is a $250. rental fee and artists are responsible for hanging and/or shipping of their art.  G.A.S. staff will be available to assist with installations.

We are currently looking at work on CD, DVD, color photos, video and portfolios, so please call or email for an appointment. Or mail packets to G.A.S. with an SASE.

Art sales will be encouraged and the commission on sales is 30% with 70% to the artist.  G.A.S. is open Fridays-Sundays, from 12 – 6pm for drop offs.

 

If you are mailing your work images please no originals please.  Also include a recent resume or bio, statement, show proposal, show dates desired.  GAS will respond within a week or two by email or telephone. Artists from anywhere in the U.S are welcome to submit.  The schedule for 2009 is filling up fast. As of March 2009, the following months are still available: April, June, November and December and all of 2010.
